Libre’s video channel reaches students, over 130 countries

Dr. Nick Libre, assistant professor of civil, architectural and environmental engineering, created an innovative way of teaching his Mechanics of Materials class. Following an injury that limited his mobility, he decided to record his lectures and upload the videos to YouTube so he could still reach his students without being in class. His students encouraged him to continue to produce them after he returned to the classroom. To date, Libre’s YouTube channel has reached over 130 countries and nearly 20,000 visitors.
