Suicide awareness, prevention policy posted online
Missouri S&T’s policy regarding suicide awareness and suicide prevention, Policy I-100, is available online. Interim Chancellor Chris Maples approved the policy on Aug. 28. The policy corresponds with and supports other federal, state and local efforts to provide suicide prevention education, early identification and intervention, and access to local resources that promote the health, safety and wellbeing of students, staff and faculty. Members of the campus community are invited to attend the Missouri Legislature’s Joint Committee on Transportation Oversight public forum at 11 a.m. tomorrow (Wednesday, July 23) in Room 125 Butler-Carlton Civil Engineering Hall. Rep. Dave Schatz and Sen. Mike Kehoe, who serve as committee co-chairs, will preside over an agenda that includes approval of two highway naming applications.
