Missouri S&T’s MinerAI seminar series presents “Think Again: AI, Cognitive Atrophy and What Makes Us Irreplaceable.” Eric Verdeyen, a Rolla dentist and host of the notes&things podcast, will discuss how AI may be contributing to “cognitive atrophy” by encouraging convenience and reducing deep thinking 4-5 p.m. Wednesday, March 11, in Room 220 Computer Science Building.

MinerAI seminar series continues Oct. 1
MinerAI will host a seminar series this fall at 4 p.m. on the first Wednesday of each month in Room 140 Toomey Hall. The first session will be held Wednesday, Oct. 1. Dr. Seung-Jong (Jay) Park, Kummer Endowed Professor and chair of computer science, will present “AI for Science and Engineering: Use-cases on how to Apply AI Models to Biomedical Research and Robotics.”
