Box office moves to summer hours

The Leach Theatre Box Office will begin summer office hours on Monday, May 14. The summer box office hours are 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Monday through Thursday. Regular box office hours will resume Monday, Aug. 20.

Jazz up your Friday with concert

Come out to Leach Theatre for an evening of jazz under the direction of Dave Cress at 7 p.m. Friday, April 6. A “pre-concert” featuring the S&T Jazz Combo will start at 6:30 p.m. Tickets are $5 for the public and free for Missouri S&T students with student ID and youth age 18 and younger. Tickets can be purchased in the Leach Theatre Box Office.

Get your tickets for ‘Forbidden Broadway’

The Miner League Theatre Players and arts, languages and philosophy will present “Forbidden Broadway” in Leach Theatre. The production features hilarious takes on beloved Broadway musicals. Spring break hours planned for IT Help Desk, Box Office

The IT Help Desk and the Leach Theatre Box Office will operate with reduced hours during spring break next week, Monday, March 26, through Friday, March 30.

  • The IT Help Desk’s walk-in center will be open 10 a.m.-2 p.m. The Help Desk phones will continue to be staffed 8 a.m.-5 p.m. If you have questions, please call 341-4357 (HELP), visit the help desk on the first floor of the Curtis Laws Wilson Library, or submit an online ticket.
  • The box office will be open 9 a.m.-1 p.m. during the break and resume regular hours of 9 a.m.-4 p.m. Monday, April 2.

Performing arts concert planned tonight

One day remains in Leach Theatre’s step challenge

Tomorrow (Friday, Feb. 16) will be the final day to participate in Leach Theatre’s step challenge and earn a free ticket to an upcoming show. Walkers have recorded more than 469,000 steps since the challenge started Jan. 22. For those who wish to continue walking indoors after the step challenge ends, the theater’s auditorium and lobby will remain open 11:30 a.m.-1:30 p.m. each Monday, Wednesday and Friday through Friday, March 23.

Your campus theater is opening its doors from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. every Monday, Wednesday and Friday for four weeks for the “Leach Step Challenge.” The challenge is open to faculty, staff and students. It began Jan. 22 and will end Friday, Feb. 16. If you log 8,000 steps on the Leach Theatre stairs and walkways, you’ll win a free ticket to an upcoming show at Leach.

Guitar workshop planned Jan. 19

Guitarist Todd Mosby will lead an acoustic guitar workshop 4-5 p.m. Friday, Jan. 19, at Merle’s Music, located at 304 N. Bishop in Rolla. The workshop, sponsored by Leach Theatre and Merle’s Music, is free and open to the public. Please bring your guitar. Participants will learn simple principles and a systematic approach to developing guitar chops.
