Build learning pathways with digital badges

Educational Technology staff will host an event about how to map badge-earning pathways for students from classroom to their professions. All S&T educators are invited to the webinar, “How to Build Digital Badging Pathways,” at noon Tuesday, May 8, in Room 202 of the Curtis Laws Wilson Library. Letters of intent due soon for eFellows program

Would you like to redesign your course for a blended or online audience? Missouri S&T’s eFellows program is designed to incentivize and support faculty. The program helps faculty redesign courses using best practices for teaching methodologies and technology for blended or online delivery. Mini-grants are available to support the redesign process as well as focused support and instructional design expertise from the educational technology. Letters of intent are due to Phelps by Friday, April 20, and must include the name of your course and co-principal investigators, if applicable.

Campus members publish in ASQ journal

A Missouri S&T group recently published a paper titled “Blending the Best of Both Worlds: Overcoming Skepticism in a Hybrid Engineering Course” in the American Society for Quality’s Quality Approaches in Higher Education. The group is comprised of Dr. Susan Murray, interim chair of psychological science and professor of engineering management and systems engineering at S&T; Julie Phelps, instructional designer in educational technology at S&T; and Kelly Jones, an adjunct instructor at Webster University and training manager at Nestle Purina in St. Louis.
