Students, faculty, staff could be eligible for COVID-19 vaccine booster

CDC advises all persons 18 and older should receive a Covid-19 booster dose.  If your initial vaccination series was received outside of the U.S., under the Emergency Use Instructions, the CDC advises persons 18 and older receive a single booster dose of Pfizer-BioNTech Covid-19 vaccine.

COVID-19 vaccine clinic at S&T today

In collaboration with Phelps Health, Missouri S&T is hosting a walk-in vaccine clinic for the Pfizer vaccine 10 a.m.-2 p.m. today (Wednesday, Oct. 27) in the Meramec and Gasconade Rooms of the Havener Center. Individuals eligible for a Pfizer booster may also receive the booster shot during this clinic.

Faculty, staff could be eligible for COVID-19 vaccine booster

According to the CDC’s guidelines for COVID-19 vaccine booster shots, individuals who work in education may get a booster shot of the Pfizer vaccine six months or more after completing the two-dose series. This applies to faculty, staff and graduate teaching assistants.
