Counseling Services offers a wide variety of groups — safe spaces in which to gain awareness of self and others. The experience can reduce loneliness, normalize life events, promote change, and teach new skills. Groups help us learn how to connect with our own feelings while in the presence of others. Several of our groups are still open for students in April/May: Men’s Action Therapy, Test Anxiety, ADHD Support Group, Miners for Recovery, Graduate Support, Body Image, and Asperger’s Support. Stop by room 204 Norwood Hall for information or call 341.4211 to get the time and place for the next meeting.

Counseling Services is excited to announce new walk-in consultation hours beginning Monday, April 1, 2019. The walk-in consultation service is for students seeking counseling services for the first time and students who have an urgent need to speak with a counselor before a scheduled appointment. These brief, 15-20 minute, conversations can help students understand current barriers to success and learn if counseling or other campus services can help. For more information on Counseling Services’ scope of service, visit our website at counseling.mst.edu.
Walk-in Hours Schedule:
Mondays – Thursdays: 8:00 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.*
Fridays: 10:00 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.*
*To ensure adequate time for the consultation, we ask the last client of the day check-in by 4:00 p.m.
