Register for expanded digital accessibility training – featuring Ally and TidyUp

In April 2024, the U.S. Department of Justice published a new rule under Title II of the Americans with Disabilities Act that requires public higher education institutions to ensure digital content is accessible by April 24, 2026. Building on previous offerings, these new training sessions will go deeper into accessibility features now available in Canvas, including Ally and TidyUp.

Ally now available in Canvas

Ally is now available in Canvas to help identify and correct Title 2 digital accessibility issues. The Center for Advancing Faculty Excellence (CAFE) will demonstrate Ally and TidyUp during a WOWZA! Wednesday session noon-1 p.m. on Wednesday, July 16, in Room G-11 of Curtis Laws Wilson Library.

Ally training available

Ally training is for individuals who have already completed Safe Space training and wish to expand their knowledge and explore how to serve as allies to members of the GLBTIQ2A community. This semester’s Ally Training will be held from 5-7:30 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 25, in St. Pat’s C of the Havener Center.
