The Missouri S&T community is saddened to learn of the death of Ryan Wesley Swier of Rolla, who passed away Aug. 8 at Phelps Health. Swier was 19 and pursuing computer science and mechanical engineering degrees at S&T.
A “Celebration of Life” service in his memory will be held at 4 p.m. Friday, Aug. 21, at the Rolla chapel of the James & Gahr Mortuary. A visitation for family and friends will be held 3-4 p.m. at the chapel prior to the service.
The S&T Store, Chick-fil-A open on Saturday
Chick-fil-A will reopen for the semester 11 a.m.-7 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 22. The S&T Store will be open 10 a.m.-4 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 22, and Sunday, Aug. 23.

The Missouri S&T community is saddened to learn of the death of Matthew Stevenson of Wildwood, Missouri. He died early this morning at his off-campus apartment as the result of a tragic accident. Matthew was 22 and was pursuing a degree in engineering management.

Student Health Services is seeking volunteers to help with screening during check-in for Miner Move-in, scheduled by appointment from 7:30 a.m.-6 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 15, Sunday, Aug. 16, and Monday, Aug. 17. Individuals will be screened before volunteering.
