The S&T jazz ensembles will perform their spring concert at 7 p.m. Friday, April 12, in Leach Theater of Castleman Hall. The ensembles will be directed by Dave Cress, lecturer in the arts, languages, and philosophy department. The S&T Jazz Combo will begin the concert at 6:30 p.m., followed by the big bands at 7 p.m. The ensembles will perform music by Chick Corea, Ella Fitzgerald, Count Basie and Mike Tomaro. Tickets are $5 for the public and free to youth, ages 18 and under, and to Missouri S&T students with a valid ID.

The S&T Symphonic Band and University Wind Symphony Spring 2019 Concert will take place on Sunday, April 7, at 2:00 p.m. in Leach Theatre. The Symphonic Band will perform “Fanare and Allegro” by Clifton Williams, “Adagio” by David R. Holsinger and “Adirondack Festival Overture” by Stephen Bulla. The University Wind Symphony will perform “An American Elegy” by Frank Ticheli and “1812 Overture” by Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky. This performance of the “1812 Overture” will include pyrotechnics created by faculty in S&T’s explosives engineering program.

Read More »The Missouri S&T Hispanic Film Series presents “Spider Thieves”, at 7 p.m. Thursday, April 4, in Room 104 Physics Building. The 2016 drama will be presented in Spanish with English subtitles. The event is FREE and open to the public.

All they want is to have all the cool and trendy stuff they see advertised in TV commercials and department stores. Word spreads and soon enough they became the notorious “spider thieves.”
