Student Success Center hiring
The Student Success Center is looking to hire 1-2 tutors who can tutor the following classes:
Thermodynamics II
Chem E Reactor Design
Molecular Chemical Engineering
Machine Dynamics
Modeling Analysis of Dynamic Systems
Materials and Energy Balances.
You must have received an A in the class and you must be able to tutor more than 1 class.
If you are interested or you know of someone who would be interested, please email wanja@mst.edu or call our office 573-341-7590. You can also stop by and speak with the Student Success Advisor.
Southwinds wants your poems, stories, and art
Southwinds, Missouri S&T’s only creative arts magazine, is making its final call for student submissions to the Spring 2019 issue! The deadline is February 15. Please send your stories, poems, creative nonfiction, photos, and drawings as soon as possible to swinds@mst.edu, or contact Anne Cotterill at the Department of English and Technical Communication, cotteril@mst.edu, for copies of the magazine or more information. Volunteer for Career Fair
S&T’s spring Career Fair is just one month away and the career opportunities and employer relations staff need volunteers to help make the event run smoothly. Please consider volunteering for spring Career Fair events, including the Career Fair on Tuesday, Feb. 19, and interviews the following day on Wednesday, Feb. 20.
Volunteer for a shift online. You can view the date, time, table location and description of each volunteer position.
Follow these steps to sign up:
Find a position that works for your schedule
Click the grey “Sign Up” box next to the position name — you can check multiple boxes
Scroll to the bottom and select the green “Submit and Sign Up” button
Fill out your department, name, email and phone number
Click the green “Sign Up Now” button.

SKIP THE LINE
Save time and skip the line by pre-registering for the Spring 2019 Career Fair (February 19, 2019). Once approved, students will pick up their name prior to the Fair and gain access to a priority entrance where they will then be required to swipe a student ID and meet professional dress requirements. To qualify for Skip the Line you must have….
– Visited COER for a resume review within the past 365 days
– A resume uploaded to your Handshake profile
– Ensured your graduation date (month/year) and major are up-to-date on your Handshake profile
– Attended a COER Professional Development presentation within the past 365 days (not required for Alumni)
Application deadline is noon one week prior to Career Fair!
