Groups are a safe place for you to connect with others at a deeper level, to find a place to be yourself, to learn how to give and receive support, and to experience the joy of finding your own “voice”. Topics include ADHD, Asperger’s Support, Body Image, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Care of Problematic Emotions, Grad Student Support, Healthy Relationships, Men’s Action Therapy, Miners4Recovery, Safety, Social Confidence, Test Anxiety, and Thriving, not just Surviving. Counseling Services now offers Walk-In Hours

Students seeking a brief consultation (rather than ongoing counseling) are encouraged to stop by 204 Norwood Hall to engage in a conversation with a counselor. No paperwork to complete! We’ll figure out together what campus services can help, what barriers need to be overcome, or decide if counseling really is warranted. Walk-in consultations are first-come, first-served and students should aim for the following times: Monday, 10-11 am; Tuesday, 2-3 pm; Wednesday, 10-11 am; Thursday, 2-3 pm; Friday, 10-11.

Check out the new Miner Oasis

Miner Wellness is hosting an Open House on Wednesday, February 13th from 2-4 to showcase the Miner Oasis in 201 Norwood Hall. This newly configured space is designed to help students relax, destress, and participate in mindfulness activities. Stop by for some aromatherapy, to grab a cup of coffee or tea, do a puzzle, practice your origami skills, or create one of our weekly, themed craft projects. Also be sure to stop in on Fridays for fresh fruit provided free of charge by Price Chopper. We hope to see you there!

Student ticket sale: Frankenstein

A $10 rush ticket sale for S&T students will begin at 10:00 am on Friday, February 8 for Aquila Theatre’s production of FRANKENSTEIN, performing at Leach Theatre in Castleman Hall at 7:30 pm on Saturday, February 9. Students must present a valid S&T student ID card at the box office in Castleman Hall to purchase a $10 ticket to the performance (regular price = $42). Limit 1 discounted ticket per student. Sale runs from 10:00 am – 4:00 pm on Friday, February 8, and will continue from 6:30-7:30 pm on Saturday evening before the show if tickets are still available.
