The Writing Center is still accepting applications for the position of peer writing consultant through April 5th. Are you an undergraduate student who expects to receive your degree no earlier than December 2020? Do you have strong writing skills and a desire to help other students? If so, the Writing Center would love to hear from you. Completing a thesis or dissertation this semester? Be sure to check out the following resources from the Office of Graduate Studies, including the new Word template for the Publication Option:
• Thesis/Dissertation Specifications. These specifications list the formatting rules and guidelines that your thesis or dissertation must follow.
• Formatting Your Thesis/Dissertation Presentation. These presentation slides provide an overview of the specifications with examples.
• Microsoft Word Templates. These templates have been built to follow the S&T specifications. You may copy and paste your text into them, or write in them directly. There are separate templates for a traditional thesis, a traditional dissertation, and the Publication Option.

If you thought you missed the boat (or plane) on studying abroad for the Summer or Fall 2019 semesters, we have some good news. These outstanding programs have extended their application deadlines:

-Cardiff Metropolitan University: April 30
-Lapland University of Applied Sciences in Finland: April 30
-Universiti Teknology Petronas in Malaysia: May 15
-Cork Institute of Technology in Ireland: May 15
-Universidad Publica de Navarra in Spain: June 1
You must apply through Missouri S&T before we can provide the nomination required by the universities in each program. Contact Study Abroad Coordinator Phaze Roeder at studyabroad@mst.edu for all the information.
Renaissance Student Award deadline extended
The application deadline for S&T’s Renaissance Student Awards has been extended to Friday, March 22. If you know a graduating senior at Missouri S&T who excels in various areas, please encourage him or her to apply for the Renaissance Student Award! The winner will receive $1,000.
