Register for expanded digital accessibility training – featuring Ally and TidyUp

In April 2024, the U.S. Department of Justice published a new rule under Title II of the Americans with Disabilities Act that requires public higher education institutions to ensure digital content is accessible by April 24, 2026. Building on previous offerings, these new training sessions will go deeper into accessibility features now available in Canvas, including Ally and TidyUp.

University Police training at former Christian Campus Fellowship House planned Aug. 11

University Police will hold scheduled training exercises 6 a.m.-2 p.m. Monday, Aug. 11, at the former Christian Fellowship House for women, located at 1400 N. Pine St. During this time, a noticeable police presence may be observed in the area. There is no cause for concern.

Events and hospitality management upgrades reservation system

Events and hospitality management is transitioning to a new more user-friendly reservation system called EMS. Over 600 reservations are being transferred from 25Live, the previous platform, into EMS.

Canfield to speak at NextGen Precision Health Discovery Series Sept. 30

Dr. Casey Canfield, associate professor of engineering management and systems engineering at Missouri S&T, will speak noon to 1 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 30, in the Innovation Lab Forum. The lecture is part of the NextGen Precision Health Discovery Series and is titled “Algorithmic Decision-Making in Organ Transplantation.”

Governor Mike Kehoe designates Veterans Day as UM System paid holiday, S&T updates academic calendar

On Wednesday, July 9, Gov. Mike Kehoe signed Missouri Senate Bill 89, which officially designates Veterans Day (Nov. 11) as a paid holiday for all University of Missouri System employees. S&T has updated its academic calendar accordingly.
