Cheng releases book about structural optimization

Dr. Franklin Y. Cheng, Curator’s Professor Emeritus of civil engineering, has a new book titled “Structural Optimization – Dynamic and Seismic Applications,” published by Spon Press. Four chapters of the 703-page text are authored by his former graduate student, Kevin Z. Truman, PhD CE’85, dean of the school of computing and engineering at UMKC.
