The campus and area community are invited to attend an open forum for Kenneth Mayberry, the third candidate for director of University Police, at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Dec. 16, in the Meramec-Gasconade Room of the Havener Center. The candidate will have time to give a brief presentation and a question-and-answer period will follow. Forum attendees will be invited to complete an electronic survey following the presentation. Get the inside scoop on Missouri S&T’s brand identity evolution — Miners Dig Deeper — by attending the final open forum and presentation 1:30-2:30 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 17, in the Missouri-Ozark Room of the Havener Center. For those who’ve attended earlier orientation sessions, this event will give you a sneak peek into some of the visual and virtual elements of Missouri S&T’s refreshed brand identity. An open forum for discussion of the tobacco-free campus initiative will be held 9-10 a.m. Wednesday, Dec. 9, in the Carver-Turner Room of the Havener Center. All students, faculty and staff are encouraged to attend and to share their perspectives on the initiative.

Human resources is offering a pre-retirement telepresence seminar 2:30-5 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 10, in the Curtis Laws Wilson Library Telepresence Room, Room 201-A. Following a presentation by human resources representatives, there will be a question-and-answer session. Both open forums for the director of University Police position that were scheduled for this week have been canceled. Johnathan Finch, the candidate who was scheduled for Monday, has decided to withdraw from the selection process. John Powell, the candidate who was scheduled for Wednesday, has agreed to employment at a different workplace. Further information about the search process will be posted in the eConnection.

The Chancellor’s Holiday Brunch will be held 9 a.m.-noon Monday, Dec. 7, at Hasselmann Alumni House. Chancellor Cheryl B. Schrader invites you to stop by and enjoy friendly faces, hot cocoa, tasty treats and holiday cheer.

All silver bike racks on the main Missouri S&T campus will be replaced during the winter break. Students, faculty and staff must remove their bikes from silver racks no later than Monday, Dec. 21. Black bike racks will not be changed and are safe to store bikes on during the break.
