Flu shot clinics open Oct. 7

The flu season is coming, and Healthy for Life – the Wellness Program for University of Missouri System faculty and staff – is offering free flu shots for Missouri S&T faculty, staff, dependents (age 12 years and older, accompanied by an adult) and retirees who are enrolled in a UM medical plan. For all other faculty and staff, flu shots are $20 cash or check. Flu shot clinics will be open in October and November on your campus. No appointment will be necessary.

Learn about iThenticate, EndNote

Graduate studies would like to invite students and faculty to learn how to use iThenticate and EndNote at a seminar to be held at noon Tuesday, Oct. 7, in the Turner Room of the Havener Center. Experts from education technology and the Curtis Laws Wilson Library will present the content matching tool iThenticate and the content management tool EndNote. These programs can help students and faculty write better papers and maintain academic honesty. Please feel free to bring your lunch to the seminar.

Bring a syllabus from one of your classes and join in a discussion about defining and articulating expectations in a learner-centered syllabus, presenting easily accessible information, aligning course objectives, assignments and assessments, and other topics.
