Missouri S&T will host a free workshop on Small Business Innovation Research (SBIR) and Small Business Technology Transfer (STTR) funding opportunities 3-4:30 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 6, in the Ozark Room of the Havener Center.
The 90-minute session led by Ed Lahue, field specialist in business development at the University of Missouri, will introduce university researchers and technology startups to SBIR grants as a potential funding source for research and development. Participants will learn how to search for research topics at various government agencies and receive a list of resources for grant applications.
This introductory workshop is designed for startups and researchers new to SBIR/STTR funding and is not an application guide.
The Missouri Small Business Development Center (SBDC) is partially funded through a cooperative agreement with the U.S. Small Business Administration.
