Dr. Daryl Beetner, professor of electrical and computer engineering, won the 2020 Technical Achievement Award from the IEEE Electromagnetic Compatibility (EMC) Society.
The annual award is for contributions toward the understanding and elimination of emissions, immunity, and signal integrity issues associated with integrated circuits. The EMC Society of the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE) has 65 chapters worldwide and approximately 4,000 members.
Beetner joined the S&T faculty as an assistant professor of electrical and computer engineering in 1998. He was named associate professor in 2004 and professor in 2010. Beetner served as chair of electrical and computer engineering from August 2014 to May 2020.
