Gear up for Staff Day

Missouri S&T’s Staff Appreciation Day is set for Wednesday, May 30. The theme is “Fiesta at High Noon.” An opening ceremony will kick off the day’s festivities at 9 a.m. in the St. Pat’s Ballroom of the Havener Center. Staff will be served a free lunch 11:30 a.m.-1 p.m. in the Havener Center’s dining area. The food auction will begin at 2 p.m. in the dining area. Staff Council seeks donations for the Staff Day food auction, set for 2 p.m. Wednesday, May 30, in the Havener Center’s dining area. Staff and faculty are welcome to donate and participate in the auction, bidding for items such as gooey butter cookies and apple pie.

Staff Day T-shirt orders due tomorrow

If you don’t have boots to wear for this year’s western-themed Staff Day on Wednesday, May 30, the T-shirt design has you covered. Check it out on the Staff Council webpage. Staff Council will host an open forum 9-11 a.m. Friday, March 16, in St. Pat’s Ballroom of the Havener Center for S&T staff members. Dr. Christopher Maples, interim chancellor, will take questions from the audience. Staff members may ask questions at the forum or submit questions before the meeting by emailing mststaffcouncil@mst.edu. Staff invited to design special St. Pat’s shirt

Show off your creative talent and create a design to represent staff for a sweatshirt commemorating St. Pat’s. The winning design will be featured on a special-order sweatshirt sold by the St. Pat’s Board in conjunction with Staff Council. Staff Council will announce details later this month for ordering the staff-themed sweatshirt. All designs must be original, appropriate, created by staff members and use the “high noon” theme. To participate, send your design to Barbi Spencer, interim compliance specialist, at spencerbar@mst.edu by Friday, Feb. 16. Staff Council will announce the winner on Thursday, Feb. 22. The winner will receive a free sweatshirt.
