FLOW will now be screened at 7 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 10, and The Limits of Control will be screened at 7 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 17. Both films will be shown in Leach Theatre. FLOW is a documentary on water resources and will be introduced by Dr. Mark Fitch, associate professor of civil engineering. The Limits of Control is a thriller directed by Jim Jarmusch.

Last year the campus donated the equivalent of more than $1,300 in meals.

The program works as follows: For every $5 donated, Chartwells will donate one meal to the Greater Rolla Area Charitable Enterprise (G.R.A.C.E.). The program runs through Friday, Nov. 13. All donations will feed local families here in Phelps County, just in time for Thanksgiving.

  • Carlos Sanchez Botero, the 2009-2010 Alfred Spreng Graduate Research Award of $1000

  • Ashley Shockley, the 2009-2010 Alfred Spreng Undergraduate Research Award of $500.

Alan Kornacki, a 1974 geology and geophysics graduate, endowed the Spreng awards with matching funds from Shell Oil Co. in 2007.
