            <title>Get health screenings; seasonal flu shot at today&apos;s wellness fair</title>
            <description><![CDATA[<p>Healthy for Life is hosting the annual Wellness Fair for faculty, staff and retirees from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. today, Thursday, Nov. 19, in the St. Pat's Ballroom of the Havener Center. The fair is focusing on preventing diabetes and includes free screenings for all employees and family members for blood sugar, blood pressure, cholesterol and body mass index. UM Choice Health Care members can receive free seasonal flu shots when they present their Coventry insurance cards; all others pay $26. </p>]]></description>

            <title>Library announces Thanksgiving hours</title>
            <description><![CDATA[<p>Curtis Laws Wilson Library will have special hours for the Thanksgiving holiday. Sunday, Nov. 22, through Wednesday, Nov. 25, the library will be open from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. The library will be closed on Thursday, Nov. 26, and Friday, Nov. 27. On Saturday, Nov. 28, the library will be open from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Normal service hours of 8 a.m. to midnight will resume on Sunday, Nov. 29.</p>]]></description>

            <title>Friday is deadline for student nominations</title>
            <description><![CDATA[<p>If you know student leaders who should be recognized for going above and beyond, nominate them for the Winter Student Leadership Award. Student organizations can nominate one officer and one member, and each residence hall and department can nominate one student employee and one resident. </p>

<p>Email a 100-word essay describing why your candidate is most qualified for the award to leadership and cultural programs at <a href="mailto:minerleader@mst.edu">minerleader@mst.edu</a>. Nominations are due by Friday, Nov. 20. Winners will be announced at the Winter Student Leadership Reception scheduled for 7 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 2, in St. Pat's B of the Havener Center. The awards are sponsored by the Chancellor's Leadership Academy, women as global leaders and Student Council.</p>]]></description>

            <title>Semper Fidelis thanks you</title>
            <description><![CDATA[<p>The Missouri S&T Semper Fidelis Society would like to thank all those who donated to the St. James Veterans Home this semester. With your help, they were able to donate more than $1,000 to the veterans home this last Veteran's Day, on Nov. 11. Special thanks to the Missouri S&T Army and Air Force ROTC cadets as well as the Marine Corps officer candidates from both the University of Missouri-Columbia and Missouri State University for their donations.</p>

            <title>Food and toys needed for GRACE</title>
            <description><![CDATA[<p>Staff Council is sponsoring a food and toy drive for GRACE (Greater Rolla Area Community Enterprise) through Friday, Dec. 4. GRACE responds to emergency needs of more than 700 families in Phelps County. All gifts will go directly to needy individuals and families. Monetary donations are also accepted and may be given to any Staff Council member or a campus building coordinator. Collection boxes will be picked up on Monday, Dec. 7.<br />

            <description><![CDATA[<p>Missouri S&T Wellness Network offers wellness presentations, training and workshops upon request. Faculty and staff may request outreach presentations which cover a variety of health and wellness issues, including stress, eating disorders and suicide prevention, for their students in lieu of the cancellation of lectures.  </p>
