Smart living candidate to present seminar today

Dr. Shichao Liu, a faculty candidate at Missouri S&T, will present “A Smart Living Challenge: Occupant-building Interaction,” 3-4 p.m. Monday, May 8, in Room 316 Butler-Carlton Civil Engineering Hall. Liu is a postdoctoral scholar at the Center for the Built Environment at the University of California, Berkeley.

Library announces summer hours

The Curtis Laws Wilson Library will be open daily during intersession, Friday, May 12, through Sunday, June 4. Hours will be:

  • 8 a.m.-6 p.m. Monday through Friday
  • Noon-6 p.m. Saturday and Sunday

The library will be closed in observance of Memorial Day, Monday, May 29.

IT Help Desk announces summer hours

Beginning Monday, May 15, the IT Help Desk will observe summer hours. The Help Desk’s walk-in center will be open 10 a.m.-2 p.m. Monday through Friday. The Help Desk’s phone line and online live chat will be available 8 a.m.-5 p.m. Monday through Friday.

Miner ID Office announces summer hours

The Miner ID Office will be closed Monday, May 15, through Tuesday, May 30. Staff will be available in the case of an emergency. If you need assistance during this period, please call 341-4996 and arrangements will be made to assist you. Monday’s edition of the St. Louis Post-Dispatch includes two stories about Missouri S&T: A front-page article about our economic impact and value to the state and a story about the campus gender gap, which is similar to other STEM-focused universities.
