Open forums for KMST candidates

The campus community is invited to attend open forums for three final candidates for the position of KMST general manager. The forums will be held noon-1 p.m. on the following dates in the Ozark Room of the Havener Center on the Missouri S&T campus:

Reservations office closed Monday

The reservations department at the Havener Center will be closed on Monday, Dec. 1, to move to its newly renovated offices. During this time, the office will be unavailable. Please email any questions you may have to and they will respond as soon as possible. Once the move is complete, the office will reopen in its original location on the second floor of the Havener Center.

Circadian rhythms seminar Monday

Dr. Michael Hughes, assistant professor of biology at the University of Missouri-Saint Louis, will present a seminar on how animals regulate their daily (or circadian) behaviors, such as sleep and wakefulness, eating and learning, and memory. Area X Lot 20 entrance closure

The 10th Street entrance to Area X Lot 20, Gale Bullman Multi-Purpose Building’s parking lot, will be closed starting tomorrow (Tuesday, Nov. 25) and remain closed until Monday, Dec. 1. The lot can still be accessed during the closure by using the Highway 63/Bishop Avenue entrance.

Campus wireless service outage

The campus wireless service will not be available for one-to-three hours between 10 p.m. Monday, Nov. 24, and 6 a.m. Tuesday, Nov. 25, due to wireless controller maintenance.

I.D. office closed this week

The MinerCard I.D. office will be closed for the Thanksgiving break between Monday, Nov. 24, and Friday, Nov. 28. It will re-open on Monday, Dec. 1. For more information, email Tara Stone.

Barbara Robertson retirement reception

After 20 years of service to the mining department, Barbara Robertson, office support associate, will retire at the end of January 2015. Leach Theatre holiday special

Leach Theatre staff invite the campus community to join them in welcoming the holiday season with a special ticket offer to see the 2014 national touring production of Charles Dickens’ “A Christmas Carol” at 7 p.m. Monday, Dec. 8. The show is presented by Palace Professional Tours, in association with North Country Center for the Arts.

‘Living on One Dollar’ screening

Join Engineers Without Borders for a screening of the award-winning documentary “Living on One Dollar,” at 6 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 3, in St. Pat’s Ballroom of the Havener Center. “Living on One Dollar” is a documentary that exhibits the hardships of extreme poverty in Guatemala.
