Lady Miners stumble in Springfield

The Lady Miners came up short in their bid to capture a Great Lakes Valley Conference title, suffering a 79-67 loss Saturday to Northern Kentucky in the semifinals of the conference tournament in Springfield, Mo. Katie Bunge led the Lady Miners with 23 points, but Missouri S&T shot just 36.8 percent for the game and now awaits word tomorrow night on who its opponent will be in the NCAA Division II Great Lakes Regional next week.
