The Missouri S&T softball team will host a fundraiser Sunday evening at Pizza Inn on the eve of the start of the 2008 season. The event will run from 5-8 p.m. Sunday and the team will receive 20 percent of the proceeds made that night as well as any gratuities or donations. The Lady Miner players will be in attendance to serve the customers that night.
The Lady Miners, picked to finish third in the GLVC this season after making their first appearance in the NCAA Division II Tournament last year, start play Feb. 22 in Huntsville, Ala.
