Math and stats lectures scheduled

The Missouri S&T department of mathematics and statistics is hosting two upcoming public lectures:

Dr. Mark Abramson of the Air Force Institute of Technology will give a talk ("Mesh Adaptive Direct Search Algorithms for Constrained Mixed Variable Optimization") at 4 p.m. Friday, Feb. 15, in Room G-5 of the Rolla Building.

Dr. Radu Dascaliuc of Indiana University will present "Navier-Stokes Equations and Turbulence Theory" at 4 p.m. Monday, Feb. 18, in Room G-5 of the Rolla Building.
