Foreign language comments sought

The language section of the arts, languages, and philosophy department is currently updating its web pages. On the new pages, we will post information about the importance of studying foreign languages and we would like to include some quotations from faculty outside our department. We are therefore requesting comments from faculty regarding how foreign languages are used in your fields. We also welcome comments about your personal experiences learning or working with a foreign language. Please send your comments by Oct. 15 to Audra Merfeld-Langston, assistant professor of French, at audram@umr.edu with the subject "Language comments." Any assistance you might be able to provide would be very gratefully received.
