A webcast training workshop on environmental management systems (EMS) will be offered from 1-2:30 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 20, in the Havener Center. The moderator will be Bob Herbert, director of Virginia Tech's Local Government EMS Resource Center. Environmental management systems help local governments and other organizations reduce risks and liabilities, improve compliance and environmental performance, and reduce operating costs.
