Weise to welcome new students

UMR graduate and Board of Trustee Mr. Theodore Weise, former president and CEO of Federal Express Corp., will be the keynote speaker at the 2007 New Student Convocation. Weise graduated from UMR in 1967 with a bachelor's degree in electrical engineering. He was awarded an honorary professional degree in 1994 and an honorary doctorate in 2000. Weise will welcome more than 1,050 new students to campus at 9 a.m. on Monday, Aug. 13, in the Student Rec Center. Faculty, staff, students and the general public are welcome to attend.
